Bachelors (and Masters) of Public Health Science perform a range of different tasks and functions relating to health planning and health administration. Tasks involving analysis, development, planning, management, consulting, teaching and research in relation to public health. Job opportunities are to be found in state and municipal organisations and institutions such as the Danish Ministry of Welfare and its administrative bodies, hospital and health organisations, and social and health planning departments in the Danish regions and municipalities.
There are also job opportunities in national and international organisations such as the WHO, the EU, the Red Cross and the World Bank. Large patient organisations such as the Danish Cancer Society and the Danish Heart Foundation are also potential employers of graduates with a degree in public health science. Major companies in the public and private sectors can also be expected to welcome graduates for projects involving health promotion and public health in connection with human resource development activities.
Finally, research and teaching at universities and other institutions of higher education are obvious career opportunities for graduates in public health science.
