Elective Subject in Information Studies, IT and Organisations - Introduction

Information technology, people, organisations and society

Would you like to work with organisational and communication tasks that involve the development and application of IT in organisations? The supplementary subject in IT and organisations teaches you a number of analytical and practical methodologies and competences that – when combined with your main subject – enable you to target your academic profile to a career within IT and organisations.

A supplementary subject in contact with the business community

Your main subject can be included and supplemented with insights into IT and organisations. Such a combination can provide you with an interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree that is an excellent basis for work in a private sector company or a public institution. We do not provide final solutions, but good concepts and cases to work with.

This study programme is based on project and group assignments in which you work with cases and empirical methods. Working on these projects, you make contact with private sector companies and public institutions that provide you with examples.

A focused information technology profile

Your study programme gives you a clear information technology profile in your main subject area and teaches you methodologies you can use when working with technological issues in interdisciplinary situations.

The supplementary subject in IT and organisations qualifies you for admission to the Master’s degree programme in information studies.
